Privacy Policy
This policy explains how shown. ("we", "us") handles information collected through this website, useshown.com, including the waitlist. It covers this website only, not the shown. app.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we store:
- Your email address.
- The date and time you signed up.
- Which signup form you used and, if the link you followed included one, the referring channel (for example, "instagram").
- The version of the notice shown beside the form when you signed up.
To prevent spam and automated signups, we also keep a scrambled, one-way code derived from your IP address (never the address itself) for up to 24 hours. It's used only to limit repeated attempts.
This website does not use advertising trackers, analytics services, or tracking cookies.
Why we collect it
We use your email address only to tell you about shown.'s launch and early access. We don't sell or rent it, and we don't share it with advertisers.
How it's stored
Waitlist information is stored in a database hosted by Supabase. Access is restricted to the shown. team, and the list can't be read through the website or the public app interface.
Service providers
- Cloudflare hosts this website and runs Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a signup comes from a person and not a bot. Turnstile processes technical information about your browser and device under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Supabase stores the waitlist database.
- Google Workspace is our email provider, if we email you or you email us.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist information until you ask us to remove it, or until we no longer need it to contact you about shown.'s launch.
Your choices
To see, correct, or delete your waitlist information, or to stop hearing from us, email bpearl@useshown.com from the address you signed up with. We'll take care of it promptly.
Children
The waitlist isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the effective date above.
